About Aaron:
I was born in Sacramento, Ca and grew up in a little rural community in the County of Sacramento named Wilton. I was raised by my two hard working grandparents who both worked and retired from Campbell Soup Company. I have lived in the Sacramento area most of my life and have an 13 year old son Aidan who fished a couple of years on the Future Pro Tour with me as my partner.  I started fishing at a young age on our 10 acre ranch in a little creek at the back of our property with my younger brother Stephen. We would spend hours every summer whacking bluegill and largemouth on a Mepp’s Black Fury. I started fishing team tournaments seven years ago with my brother on the Future Pro Tour and after three years on the FPT, I knew that competitive angling was my calling and decided to pursue a career as a Pro. So I started to read everything bass related, got a few sponsors, created a web site, and started writing for Bass Angler Magazine. Currently I am a Staff Writer/Bio Analyst for BAM, dabble in video production and fish various events in Northern Ca.

When I am not chasing bass I work as an auditor for Esurance.  I have worked in the auto insurance industry as a claims adjuster for the past twenty years for USAA, State Farm, Progressive, and was an independent contractor for 10 years.  Before getting involved in fishing I was making a run at playing competitive golf and about fourteen years ago I moved to Rancho Murieta (Rancho Murieta Country Club) so I could work on my golf game. I eventually became a scratch golfer and started competing against other amateurs on the NCGA; but with an ailing back, a shoulder that was going out too, and competing against young guys that were bombing 300 yard drives by me, I began to get discouraged. It was about that time when my brother took me out fishing on his 10ft. pontoon boat on one of the three large ponds out in Rancho Murieta. After that day, I was addicted. About six months later I quit golf cold turkey, started buying rods, reels, tackle and eventually, my first boat.  I enjoy everything about the sport, the outdoors and the challenge of tournament fishing.  I have made many life long friends over the past eight years, been fortunate to work with great sponsors and look forward to the new challenges that 2017 will bring.  Until next time, stay focused, fish hard and I’ll see you on the water.
